Understanding Romans - Part 2

Some of the most difficult passages in the New Testament concerning the Torah (Law of God) can be found in the book of Romans. For instance, Paul tells us in Romans 3:31 that we are to uphold the Law. But he also seems to say in Romans 10:4 that Christ is the “end” of the law! Was Paul double-minded? This series will attempt to put the difficult passages in the book of Romans back into their context to see them through the eyes of Paul’s audience. Phrases such as “We are no longer under the law, but under grace,” “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for all those that believe,” and “works of the law” will be examined and placed back into their first-century context, enabling us to truly understand Paul’s message to the church in Rome.
