Five Days of Encouragement – Day 5

As we approach the end of this five day Encouragement series, I want to leave you with this:

Whether it be your coworkers, friends, family, or perhaps a complete stranger, make it an effort to make a positive difference in their life. Perhaps you have a difficult time putting the focus and “spotlight” on someone else. Do something nice for someone for a change. Be positive in this world. There is so much negativity and fear in this world. WE can be the change. Even if it’s a stranger walking down the road. You can make a difference. Go outside of your comfort zone to help someone, or open the door for someone. Try to figure out how each one of your family members feels loved, and then do your best to fill their love tank. Everyone deserves to be loved, and sadly not everyone in this world feels loved. This is why, as children of God, it is our responsibility to do our best to love His people. Perhaps there may be someone that we don’t necessarily like, like someone that we work with. In either circumstance, our job is not to judge and think negative thoughts about that individual. Though the temptation may come, we need to take our thoughts captive and turn them around.

There are many ways that we can make a difference in someone’s life. There are many ways that we can even make a difference in this world. It’s up to us whether we will take action and follow Yeshua’s (Jesus’) example. Be kind, be generous, be considerate, and do your best to love people how THEY feel loved. Not how you THINK they feel loved. That is a very important thing to remember. Either way, you will be blessed for reaching out to love in whatever way that looks like. Yeshua died on the cross for me. And he died for you too. That is certainly enough for me to spread the love that he shed for us. There are many people out there that just have no clue how much value they have, and in my opinion, I believe it is this generation that needs to rise up and show the people of God who they are and how loved they are. Be the change.

Shalom,

Jim Staley
